SD 2005 Posted by Rocky on Thursday, August 25 2005
Special Detachment's Ghost Recon Coop Tournament 2005 came to its conclusion this week when all 24 participating teams played the fourth and final mission. The final standings show Alpha Squad were the clear winners this year scoring an awesome full points in three of the four missions! SD did an fantastic job of organising and running this coop event, which surely must be arguably this years premier coop gaming event across all gaming communities. Even teams failing to score after the first 3 missions turned up to play in the final mission, such was the quality of the missions on offer. Congratulations to all the participating teams and a huge thanks to Special Detachment for keeping it alive, and keeping it real!

Sniper Elite Posted by Rocky on Monday, August 22 2005
While waiting for Ghost Recon 3 one game in particular caught our eye - Sniper Elite. When I played the preview version Ubisoft sent in I thought it could have been the sniper's version of Ghost Recon - it has a lot going for it.HatchetForce spent alot of time playing this preview code and you can read why he thought this game was "... innovative and refreshing and the combat gritty" in our preview report for Sniper Elite. HatchetForce also took a quick movie to give us an idea of the bullet cam, check that out here. Discussion on this upcoming Ubisoft title from a UK developer can be found in our forums here.

GR3 Movie Posted by Rocky on Tuesday, August 9 2005
The neat movie shown at Gamespot a few days ago has been released in a slightly better resolution, so it is possible to read some of the text and details on the equipment shown. I've put the new version here, enjoy!
If you watch closely you'll see a lot of detail on the equipment the Ghosts will be carrying in Advanced Warfighter. One of them is OTMHS, if you are wondering what that is exactly, and the intruiging science behind it, read our special report on OTMHS here. Another item that flashes up but without any detail, is the BCHS. You can read Dannik's report on BCHS technology here. Additionally I noticed that CR6 has a cracking jpg image detailing all the equipment, and you can view that at GR-Retreat.
