Here's a new realism mod from Doc Caliban for Ghost Recon that really improves the experience. It works by removing all the game cues that give you unseen information about the enemy.

No more text information about enemy down, and no more red dots revealing the status and location of enemies, only your own observations count!

It's hard to think, but back in the day, when Ghost Recon was originally launched, website forums were not as widespread as they are now, and what forums did exist were known as bulletin boards. Chat wasn't by shoutboxes or forum add-ons, it was on Internet Relay Chat, or IRC.

Now, a group of Ghost Recon fans are pulling together to resurrect those days and get some good old school Ghost Recon games back on the go, using IRC to connect and organise.

If you have enjoyed any of the custom made Ghost Recon mods we have available for download, you'll already know how fantastic they are; adding new features, new challenges and extending the life of Ghost Recon.

What you may not appreciate is the code of honour that exists in the mod community, that protects a modders hard work from being taken and turned into something else, with no credit back to the original modder and their efforts.

Most modders though, are more than happy to have their custom Ghost Recon mods included in other mods, extending the life of Ghost Recon, and increasing the audience that can appreciate their work.

Today we reach out to those modders to confirm their permission to their content being used in the production of new Ghost Recon mods, keeping Ghost Recon alive well into its second decade!

A group of Japanese Ghost Recon fans have logged an impressive number of hours playing the unofficial Ghost Recon expansion Heroes Unleashed - and they recorded the whole thing, all 15 hours!

Great news today as we are releasing a brand new full scale unofficial expansion pack for Ghost Recon.

TEXAS MILITIA

RileyFletcher_01 has been working on Texas Militia for over 8 months now and has created a mod truly worthy of the title Unofficial Expansion Pack. With a fully reworked interface and an intense 16 mission campaign this is one mod not to miss.    

The missions are packed with objectives and a detailed back story. Expect lot's of interesting features and new challenges in these missions, they are great fun!

Pmartin has released a tweaked ENB modification for Ghost Recon that really enhances the visuals. Motion blur, eye adaption and bllom really give Ghost Recon's 10 year old engine a new lease of life.

Best of all, there is virtually no hit on game performance at all, the frames per second are unaffected.
